Going back a bit into the comments about the recording being simple, quick, and the chords being basic, I think thats part of the brilliance, i love the sound of home recordings, imperfect guitar. Give everything a raw edge and truly personal touch. Might as well say it, this song means a lot to me, and sums up my emotions down to a T. Truly brilliant. He he he, it whats music is about right? |

I love this song, it has kind of become my travelling song, I put it on when ever I go anywhere. Maybe he means when you spend so long in one place it almost turns to black and white, you stop noticing things. Then I guess it's time to move on. But of everyone wants you stay and help, hence “Do you have to leave so soon my boy? The winter time aint even begun….” Imply theres a lot of work to get through winter and it'll be harder alone. It also describes almost every teen's dream in a rural setting. |

| I saw Eef of Clem Snide play at the apollo the other night, anyway he described the inspiration for this song was when he moved to tennesse. They all really like jesus there, so he was at this market/show, and there was a stall selling this t-shirt. It had a picture of a buffed up Jesus looking kind of angry, kind of a claud van dam jesus. Anyway above him it said "What don't you understand about love?" | |

To me I always kind of thought this song referred to those adverts asking to donate money to charity. From a the pespective of someone with little money, Your trying to pay the rent but these adverts appear making you feel guilty for not donating. "so sick and tired of these pictures of me" I'm dieing myself, why should I pay. Probably not what it's about, but it was my first impression when hearing it. Has changed somewhat now. |
