| Simon and Garfunkel – The Only Living Boy In New York Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Half of the time we're gone but we don't know where - what a line. | |
| Simon and Garfunkel – The Boxer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It's a semi biographical piece from Paul Simon. Fantastic song but needs to be considered with the removed verse: Now the years are rolling by me They are rocking evenly I am older than I once was Younger than I'll be, that's not unusual. No, it isn't strange After changes upon changes We are more or less the same After changes we are more or less the same |

| Simon and Garfunkel – Bridge Over Troubled Water Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song was written when Simon and Garfunkel were on the verge of splitting. It can be compared to U2's one in that's it's a call to friendship. The 3rd verse is not about heroine at all. It was tacked on because the label wanted the extra verse and Paul Simon is on record (Google) as saying it feels tacked on and he would preffered not to have it there at all. |

| Manic Street Preachers – The Girl Who Wanted To Be God Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It is about Sylvia Plath but the title isn't one of her poems, it's a reference to a line she wrote about herself - "I think I would like to call myself "the girl who wanted to be God." Yet if I were not in this body, where would I be - perhaps I am destined to be classified and qualified. But, oh, I cry out against it. " |
