Fleetwood Mac – Dreams Lyrics 18 years ago
"Like a heartbeat .. drives you mad" sounds like an Edgar Allan Poe reference
the first time I heard that The Tell-Tale Heart popped into my head

also, greendaygirl, pattie wasn't trampy at all. I love george (by far my favorite beatle) but I would've left him long before pattie did. she turned down a lot of men while george was having affairs. and even turned down clapton once, before it was all over.

The Beatles – Something Lyrics 18 years ago
even if he changed his story later, he told pattie this song was for her. and pattie wasn't his "soon to be ex-wife" at the time. they didn't divorce until '77
also I think sinatra's comment was in sarcasim

The Clash – Armagideon Time Lyrics 19 years ago
is it true that Strummer yelling "don't push us when we're hot!" (at 3 mins) was due to the producer (or someone) telling them to wrap it up b/c the song was too long?

Bob Dylan – Temporary Like Achilles Lyrics 19 years ago
I love it too. Typical Blonde on Blonde song. Making you think 'what the -hell- could that mean?'.

Bob Dylan – Tell Me, Momma Lyrics 19 years ago
These might be the original words but they're sure not what he sings live. I can't figure out what he is saying though--that's why I came here, oh well lol

Bob Dylan – She Belongs to Me Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm not sure this is a Baez song, if it is about a girl. It was on the Bringing it All Back Home album and he was alread cheating on her and (if you watch Don't Look Back), pretty annoyed with her. And even if the song is more uncomplimentary, she wouldn't have been the user, she seemed clingy.

Bob Dylan – Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? Lyrics 19 years ago
It sounds a bit Edie Sedgwick-y. Instead of inviting her to have an affair, he's trying to get her away from Warhol and hang out with him, but she sees it as a betray to Andy. His "inventions" and "bloodhounds that kneel" sound like Factory talk to me

Bob Dylan – Eternal Circle Lyrics 19 years ago
I love this song...no comments??? It's sweet and starting to get that dream-like feeling his other songs will have.

Lou Reed: "Andy said I should write a song about Edie Sedgwick. I said 'Like what?' and he said, 'Oh, don't you think she's a femme fatale, Lou?' So I wrote 'Femme Fatale' and we gave it to Nico."

I love this song. It's like this sweet sad little story. Luckily Bootlegs really help put his little known songs out there.

Bob Dylan – One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later) Lyrics 19 years ago
elephantrange--I agree with you 100%. Also thejaclyneffect, you basically described what would've been the relationship between Bob and Edie since he was also in a "real relationship" with Sara at the time

sweetlaw...sara had a daughter with her first husband, that's the 'child of the hoodlum'. jakob was sara and bob's last child, he wasn't even born when this song was made, their fist child hese might have been though, she was at least pregnant with him at the time
