i think that comparing bush to hitler is a stretch. i doubt world domination is even within his mental capacity. i am by no means a bush supporter, but i don't think he's a (and i quote eddie izzard here) "mass-murdering fuckhead", he's just a blundering idiot who is president and really shouldn't be.
that being said, does anyone else think that the line, "a gag, a plastic bag on a monument" is a sexual reference? one of the first "monuments" that would come to mind is the George Washington Monument, which is phallic-shaped, and putting a "plastic bag" on it is probably a reference to putting on a condom. i think this line in particular refers to how sex-obsessed America is. but then again that's just my opinion. |

the line "under your tongue, I'm like a tab, I will give you what you're not supposed to have" is interesting. i see this as a reference to greek mythology, in which people placed a coin underneath the tongue of someone who recently died so they could pay Charon, the ferryman of the river Styx, for passage into the afterlife. and that if they aren't supposed to have it then they can't go into the afterlife or eternal peace or whatever. i think this is saying that the world feels like people who commit suicide don't deserve eternal peace. |
