| Arctic Monkeys – Crying Lightning Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Outside the cafe by the cracker factory You were practicing a magic trick And my thoughts got rude as you talked and chewed On the last of your pecan mix I said your mistaken if your thinking that I haven't been caught cold before As you bit into your strawberry lace And then I found your attention in the form of a gobstopper Is all you had left, and it was going to waste Your pastimes consisted of the strange, And twisted and deranged And I love that little game you have called crying lightning And how you like to aggravate the ice-cream man on rainy afternoons The next time that I caught my own reflection it was on its way to meet you Thinking of excuses to postpone You never look like yourself from the side But your profile does not hide the fact you knew I was approaching your throne With folded arms you walked aside the bench like toothache Saw them puff your chest out like you'd never lost a war And though I tried not to talk for the indignity of a reaction There was not cracks to grasp, or gaps to claw And your pastimes consisted of the strange, And twisted and deranged And I hate that little game you have called crying lightning And how you like to aggravate the icky man on rainy afternoons. Uninviting, but none of us impossible as everyone assumes you are Crying Lightning Your pastimes consisted of the strange, And twisted and deranged I hate that little game you have called Crying lightning |

CORRECT: So... (x4) Sweet summer night and I'm stripped to my sheets Forehead is leaking; My AC squeaks and A voice from the clock says "You're not gonna get tired" My bed is a pool and the wall's on fire Soak my head in the sink for a while, chills on my neck and it makes me smile but My bones have to move and my skin's gotta breathe You pick up the phone and I'm so relieved You slide down the stairs to the heated street and The sun has left us with slippery feet And I want to walk around with you And be here with you It doesn't really matter, I'll go where you feel Hunt for the breeze, get a midnight meal I'll point in the windows, you'll point out the parks Rip off your sleeves, and I'll ditch my socks Dance to the songs from the cars as they pass Weave through the cardboard; smell that trash Walkin' around in our summertime clothes Know where to go; where our bodies go And we'll greet the dawn in it's morning blues With purple yawns you'll be sleeping soon And I want to walk around with you When the sun goes down we'll go out again Don't cool off I like your warmth Let's leave the sound of the heat for the sound of the rain It's easy to sleep when it wets my brain It covers my rest with a saccharine sheen Kissin' the wind through my window screen But restless is causeless and I cannot hide So much on my mind that it spills outside and Do you want to go stroll down the financial street? Our clothes might get soaked but the buildings sleep And there's no-one pushing for a place Let's meander at an easy pace And I want to walk around with you Just you, just you. |

| Bloc Party – Talons Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| this is absolutely about trying to run away from the sinful life, running almost from the "angel of death" and the consequences of what you have done. | |

CORRECT LYRICS: War, war, war, war! I want to declare a war My fist breaks Your repulsive nose There are other things my hands can do To create or to destroy Any gods and goddesses First person singular Set it, set it, set it off! War, war, war, war! Keep the past, future, ours Man-made natural disaster Blocking out all of the sun Superman and Mitsi Turbos Speed! Agility! Super strength! Wipe the blood off those knuckles Spark him Give me twos on that! Eh eh, Ayyy ayyy War, war, war, war! I want to declare a war Truth's so blind That when we ride We don't stop for nobody The Africans and the Bengalis He knows all the rude boys Reebok, Nike, Adidas, Puma Rah, rah, rah This shit is long! It's all getting (it's all getting) Quite highly charged (quite highly charged) Get out of the way (get out of the way) Or get fucked up (or get fucked up) Eh eh, Ayyy ayyy We dance to the sound of sirens We dance to the sound of sirens We dance to the sound of sirens We dance to the sound... And to think that these hands Could not warm things with their touch Listening to dead singers in a room In '98 We dance to the sound of sirens We dance to the sound |

| Actually I'm pretty sure "While dave breaks the record down to the bone" is "We'll dance just to break it down to the bone" | |
| Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Also, El Manana is a followup song about the helicopters finally destroying the last shred of innocence in the world. An apocalypse of goodness, so to speak. A few more notes... the rap also tells 2D "we're powerful, you can't beat us, you'll be run into the ground, but we're kind, so just come back and watch us as we navigate, we are your captains, do what we say" |

| Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc. Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Gorillaz of a down you have it all wrong. The windmill is representing innocence. As officially told by the gorillaz... END ALL BE ALL MEANING OF THIS SONG: Feel good inc is a modern tower of babel. It builds itself up into the sky with sex, violence, sinning, swearing, drugs, and all things that make you feel good at first. Once you begin to do them, it becomes so powerful that you can't get out of it. But you've lost all innocence, all sense of wonder. 2D still has some of this. He tries to look out the window and sees innocence. A windmill island represents the few people in life who still love what's really important, innocence. The helicopters following the island is the media attempting to take down the last shred of innocence so they can make more money. The rap is the voice of the media telling 2D not to look out the window, his voice kills the inc, he needs to come back and just feel good. And 2D can't leave but he desperately wants to feel a true love with the girl on the island, rather than all sex and drugs. And the media laughs and laughs and laughs, watching us as we try to escape but are consumed by our own sins, as they cash in and become millionaires. |

Said you, you, you are fantastic and so romantic (say what?) romantic and so fantastic (7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) We came here to rock the microphone. We came here to rock the microphone. while dave breaks the record down to the bone. while dave breaks the record down to the bone. | I Monster – Daydream in Blue Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this song is about beautiful innocence in comparison to the sexuality that the media has forced on us, in a similar manner to the Gorillaz song, "Feel Good Inc" | |
