I had a slightly different interpretation of this song. I see this song as a father/daughter wedding day song. It's the emotions a father watching a new man move into his daughter's life, for good. "You may not see the woman in me That you dreamed of Holding in your arms" I think she is referring to the woman he pictured, holding his infant daughter in his arms. Next, she talks about all the praying he did for her, saving her live, sacrificing to raise her to be an independant woman. It just seems like a tribute to her father for all he did for her as a child. Even though she have found a husband, her father will always have a special place in her heart. |
