...and one more thing. Did anybody notice that the chord progression with this song is similar to that of Masterpiece? Try it. Have a friend play the guitar and sing this song while you sing masterpice. |

This being my first post.... The album version of this song is terrible , its like some pseudo-artistic producer newbie set up the instrumentation and feel of the song. Since when were they a bluegrass band? (not that bluegrass is terrible) The breakdown is just laughable with the drums at 1:42. The gimmicks don't work especially the "it's always about me" line at the very end. They should rerecord this song with a better producer. But perhaps im over-analysing this song. I suppose i like it so much that i find plenty of faults in its album version. I first heard it on youtube and i was blown away by their acoustic performance. Ive only known "Masterpiece" before that and i was bummed out that i missed out on listening what is now my favorite song of theirs. If you have not heard the acoustic version of this song, i suggest that you go to youtube. There are more harmonizing going on with the sisters and its great. The lyrics are and the melody work great together. Its like...well sooo smooth. I can't really describe it. TO ME, the song is about missing out on life; people, opportunities, love. Clinging on to what you can grab because theres a little voice inside you that is telling you that all things, good or bad, do not last forever. |
