Is it just me or has this entire album been a lot more downcast than the others? Don't get me wrong, I love the songs, possibly better than phobia (Save for Diary of Jane, that song is always their number one) I think this one is about watching somebody fall away from you, and trying to stay with them as they drag you down, too. |

This song seems more to be about his longing to sleep and enjoy his dreams so he can escape the outside world (I.E. It's hard to say I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep) and how it seems like there's just not enough time for him to sleep (I.E. I try to make myself believe that planet Earth turns slowly) Just what I got out of it. |

actually...one of the lyrics are wrong. first of all, where it says "her consience calls, the're guilty too,m come home", that's supposed to be "her concsience calls the guilty to come home" I'm getting this straight out of the booklet that comes with the cd. Anyways, as for the meaning, I'm pretty sure it's about cheating from the viewpoint of the guy who's doing it. |

This is a great song basically just about the side of war that most people don't hear. Anyone who has never been in the military or never heard what it's really like, think that it's a lot of just shooting the bad guy and walking home smiling. This song is about the darker side. For example, when he says he shot a father right in front of his son. Or when he says "Scared to make it out alive now murders all i know." It's basically about the bad part of war and about how it's not what a lot of people think it is. |

Actually, Chanticleer, I hate to shoot that one down, but it was actually supposed to be the curse that pointed pretty clearly at vampirism (With songs such as blood children, this flesh a tomb, and of course, the crimson) Also, the cover (If anyone's seen the cover of the curse, they know what i'm talking about) points pretty damn heavy to vampirism. But anyways, to this song....holy shit, I don't think i've ever heard a better metalcore song. (Then again, the only other metalcore band i listen to is Avenged Sevenfold) The most emotional part of this song for me would be: Aren't you tired of being weak, such rage that you could scream all the stars out of the sky and destroy the prettiest starry night, every evening that i die. Though everybody loves : Live Love Burn Die (I'm definately gonna get a tatoo that says those same four words.) |

There's one part that kind of throws off that whole "walking away" idea, though. What about when he says "I'll be home tonight, take a breath and softly say goodbye." And I think this is just a song about a guy who keeps arguing with the girl he loves, about how she somehow betrayed him (Why are you so eager to betray?) and despite the fact that he's gettign a shit deal with her, he's still coming back to her, night after night. Anyways, this song kicks some serious ass. |

This song is pretty twisted, like most of Korn's songs. I'm just putting this out there, and I do think it's about suicide, but if you look at it from the music video, where he's killing off all the band members, it seems more like he's going insane. Anyways, definately different from a lot of Korn's song, and a very emotional (and disturbing) song. |

I think it's pretty ironic that they made a song called 'blow me away', (and i'm well aware that it was made for Halo 2) in which the soldier in question seems to sort of enjoy battle. Then they make a song about a soldier who seems to be on the flip side of that. This soldier is watching people drop around him, and he's like "shit, should i go with them?" Definately a good song out of what I think is their best album. |
