I believe this song is based on the period of time after you get out of a really long relationship, one of those which leave memories of itself emblazoned into your mind for days, weeks, months and seem to collaborate against you. It's basically when a good thing turns bad. The song then transitions to this part: Shifting through in the frame by frame I walk the same path I’ll say the same lines I do this every time Do this every time Which essentially (and personally) means to me that the singer is going through the same steps with every new girl he meets, uses the same lines, does the same things, and still he can't help but feel as if he's still stuck in those same memories. |
