| This song is about the journey of a hero who discovers all heroes are false. He sets out to destroy a society of his enemies, but after the interlude discovers he has become the exact same as them. He wants to go back, but he can't. The last section is his final words on the subject. | |

| The live versions of this song are even better than the album version, their is a more involved conclusion where Rex screams and sings in addition to Rob screaming "I won't say one fucking word!" | |

| Its from their Document #7, very good release, has the best production of any Pg. 99 release. Its not lo-fi, in other words. It has 5 songs, 2 of which are over 8 minutes (one of them being this one), this is another one of their songs where the city of caterpillar singer sings, this is one of the only songs I've ever heard him forcefully scream on (Its also a very good song to learn screaming from, as it has a lengthy, detailed normal - screaming voice part). | |

| Most of this is very tentative, I did it by ear. Some of it that seems like its easy to get is not at all. This took a long while to do, I have the times saved at which I wasn't sure, but I didn't leave them in this due to SM's policy on lyrics. | |

| Wow, nice. Your corrections to my attempt make a lot of sense. And yes, the last part is impossible to decipher.... I think the last word is paid, not bleed, is my only suggestion. Sure its ancient will and not excellence? The ence is pretty audible. | |

attempt at second half (from demo version, more understandable, some words missing): standing on that field of quick. (?) gates of heaven for the years of my life i've paid for others love a mighty fear of god. (cannot tell at all what other vocalist says) to stand so heavy upon my shoulders, and i fear that if i told you, my love, fear is forgiven, its a great book this tome, a fear of god to overcome and scratch me like in excellence. a fear of god to overcome and scratch me like in excellence. (impossible to tell here) So others would be denied lord give everyone on this planet a chance to be God and stand so heavy on their shoulders. (unintelligible?) You tell me what you want me to do. Nevertheless can't be denied. Lord give everyone a chance to stand so heavy upon your shoulders. SO HEAVY. To stand so heavy upon your shoulders, I fear you won't forgive me, thats a great book this tome, to stand so heavy upon your shoulders, i fear you won't forgive me, thats a great book, thats a great book this tome. (end turn after breakdown, unintelligible). I think I nailed most of it, one sentence isn't the same in doc #5 as in 1, but for the rest i should be similar or close. I put a ? by the words or spots i had trouble with) |
