I still keep seeing all this songs like anti-war songs. I understand this as the way the president who signs with a capital G is feeling after he finally understood that he started a war that wont never stop ot at least, no so easily. "well it's happening never planned on this you've got something I need" Of course, they have oil and he needed it to keep his economy rulling. "I can't shut it off this thing I've begun and it's hard to tell just where it's coming from" The War its out of control (war will always be out of control) "and it's hard to see what I'm capable of and it's hard to believe just, what I've become" Even him is surprised about how much damage is he doing to the people living is this world but its too late for him to change back. "hey, can't stop me, I'm not" He cant stop, he isnt him anymore. He's converted on a sort of marionette controlled by some rich people that wants more money. "I can win this war by knowing not to fight if I take it all back someway, somehow if I knew back then what I know right now" Again, he finally came to conclusion that he choosed the wrong path. If you want to fight against terrorism you must not send an army to conquer, invade, kill and die. He's only starting more a more future terrorist. The only way now is "f I take it all back someway, somehow" and start again fighting the real problem: poverty. |

For me, there isnt any doubt, this song is about George W Bush. "I pushed a button and elected him to office and" That's the system USA's people (not americans, americas are we all living on the American Continent) use to vote. So, you can see that he's talking about a President electer, but not a people's president, he's a president of war, a President that sigs with a capital G, like trying to be a (or the) real God. At the end, "hands and knees" appears again, it comes from "my violent hear" were it wasnt really obvious if he was talking about an army or a terrorist.. well, this clearly made me think that the last song was talking about the US Army fighting and dying for things they dont really believe in, but they are only confused by him, GWB. By the way excellent song.. and of course, peace! ;) |
