Bush – Synapse Lyrics 18 years ago
schumie in addition to your interpretation - i think that the line Hell is Where the Heart Is, Synapse Again - is really important to the mood Gavin's trying to get about this druggie.

It sounds like not trying to forget the bad things in his life but more like everything - all emotions from his life. And there's nothing more he can do - to cure his depression from his range of emotions - that he hasn't done already. He's tried everything and the only out
Heroin.

Bush – A Tendency to Start Fires Lyrics 18 years ago
I have an interpretation for this song. The song is about the future and the cause to destroy it (suicide)

A very angst-style song especially in the sound of it.

The first verse has to deal with the urge to destroy oneself. Living in a strange zoo - paralleling the world that is just to bizarre to cope with. Happiness is a bad son, meaning that in a couple of ways happiness can actually lead to sadness (because its fleeting or feels shallow, etc.) The forceps kitchen tools and the guillotine seem to reference slitting ones wrist in a way ~ forceps - wrist, kitchen tools & guillotine - razorblade

2nd verse-
Its seems like Gavin is singing to the audience here about what was going on the first verse. That we all do things that take away our humanity just to make ourselves happy. In all it leads to fire - or chaos, or death, etc.

Choruses: The choruses have a unique sound to it - kinda like sitting at a bar or pub and drinking a beer and toasting to the end of the world (think American Pie). It seems like - Gavin is giving us a chant - that we only can wish that tomorrow is better, and hope for the best.

Third Verse: This took me a while to grasp but I feel that all in all - you have to realize that you will die, and that (if there's an afterlife) what you did on earth- how u acted as a human will be returned to you (or your future).

Chasing Watercans - sometimes we want to put out the fires that we started.

Coheed and Cambria – Delirium Trigger Lyrics 19 years ago
Alright, this song delirium trigger plays into the story of "Coheed and Cambria" ~ Claudio Sanchez, the singer,'s sci-fi comic epic. (originally it was called the Bag-On-Line Adventures, but they changed it)

Delirium Trigger takes place on a space ship, and mostly deals with Coheed. However, yes it references the movie Aliens. Claudio likes to do this, when he writes songs, he will give a double meaning and reference it to many other things. For example, Coheed and Cambria's last name is Kilgannon (from Zelda!) and the song 33 can be referenced to Patrick Ewing of the NY Knicks.

In this song, the narrator is someone on the ship, probably and old-friend of Coheed. (who allows him onto the ship ~ because Coheed was on the run.) Coheed has calmed down after what happened in Everything Evil ~ however, he's hit with the parasitic cyst (the dragonfly on the cover of the album) which turns him back into the Monstar (Everything Evil). The verses are sung by this friend of Coheed, and how they were able to catch him while he was a monstar but now he escaped and is killing everyone.

The chorus is from coheed's point of view, and pretty much so very explanatory. It's a very agressive chorus, "Give a look surprise wide eyed to me. . ."
and
"the scare that triggers your fear. . ."

This all leads to Hearshot Kid Disaster when Coheed arrives on earth and fucks things up there.

But yes i love how this song kinda reflects the movie Alien. WHich is one of my favorites.
