about the song meaning here's what i get out of it: jonny's actually asking god to punish him for doing something with a girl that jonny knew was wrong then in the last stanza jonny changes his mind and decides that everyone who was involved in any way (like the murmurers and the other guy) should be punished, except himself and the girl |

| My bad, i dont think it's "You will take this body, you will take this there," but rather "Who will take this body, who will take this there" | |

[not really] Sorry to inform: lyrically, i don't care what this song is about. but man oh man have i discovered something! check out a song by a popular band (in 2002) named Finch. Their song is called "What It Is To Burn" Download right now. Seriously. Yes, I know that Fightstar and Finch have "nothing" in common, but THIS will surprise you. Listen to Finch's song (it's also on purevolume.com/Finch) but--- only at your own risk! because it will change the way you see Fightstar ...forever. |

Check out a song called "Paint Your Target" by an up-and-coming band named Fightstar. They so copied the intro to "What It Is To Burn" It's not even funny how much they copied it! Just wait ten seconds into the song and you'll hear it... sheesh, that's messed up. |

| when someone you used to know starts talking a bunch of religious jargon, just stay true to what you knew from the start. in other words, you cant put your trust in people. | |

our words can do 2 things to people: 1) tear down, or 2) build up this song sounds like an attempt at encouraging us to reach out and build someone up |

vampires singing = musical artists with generally 'bad' lyrical messages [misused and taken for granted]. i live up in a tree = sometimes he feels scared to do something about it [winter comes with a deadline]. blessed by a ghost...for redemption = he has the annointing and the calling to make music that actually edifies people. ohh..now you get it. |

Um, there you go: Will the body be abandoned? Will it? Improvement is no redemption. Unbelief is no diversion. Drenched in blood, soaked in grace Take this body. A sound that has no sight. 2,000 years, 2,000 years until they crash never begging for return. I was stabbed through the neck. You will take this body, you will take this there (for the land) There is not a separation. You will take this body, you will take this there. We will... we will... we'll run straight to the murder. We'll run... we'll run straight to the murder. |

| Anberlin – A Whisper and a Clamor Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Here what the song means and also what inspired Stephen to even write it: Stephen says he is determined to make Anberlin devotees think. But the fact that they don't always connect to the deeper meaning in his songs can be frustrating. That notion gave birth to the lyric, "I'm so tired of writing songs, where people listen but never really hear what's going on," on the winning anthem "A Whisper and A Clamor." "That line isn't an insult," he says. "It's more of a challenge to fans to study the words. I think a lot of times, it's kind of draining on me that people only have one kind of interpretation. I put a lot of thought into what I do. With our last album, I'd get emails from fans about the song "Symphony of Blasé" and people would say, 'I just broke up with my girlfriend and that song helped me through it.' And I'd be like, 'It wasn't a break up song at all. It was about alcoholism.' I mean, these songs aren't about the basic pop, 'Ooh girl. I love you.' They're much deeper than that." *& it's all an excerpt from: http://www.toothandnail.com/artist_bio.php?id=19 |

A lot of us who believe in Christ[God] (the Great Manipulator) have been living our lives too passively. The Great Manipulator is challenging us to actually use what we know to win the spiritual war of these last days on earth. Anyways, thats what it means. It's definitely a great intro song to Redeemer. |
