It probably wasn't even a drug induced hallucination. That's the humour in the song. The guy probably wasn't even high and an alium came down to try to save humains, and it scared him so bad he got all jittery, plus he forgot his pen and now he feels like a tool. So, everyone else just thinks he's talking about a psychedelic experience.
And you can mix drugs, you know. I don't know why there's 50 pages of arguing if it's LSD or DMT. He says DMT and X in the song. That's why it points toward...whoa I just blew my own mind.
You FOOLS! You fell for it! You are the doctors! Debating what psychedelic drug he was on when it happened, and never EVER taking into consideration that he actually DID see a real alien with a real message. Holy shit. I'm the smartest Tool fan alive. |

I don't know. I always saw this song as kind of a splice in and out of flashbacks of two friends who are about to be murdered, so they have to get their feelings about about each other, and the chorus is like praying to god to save you, but you know you're going to die anyway. |

Interesting it's about Budd Dwyer. However, everytime I hear this song, I think of James Bond. It sounds like a theme to a 007 movie. I even picture the montage video during the credits while this song place. Plus, the title itself sounds like the title to one of the 007 themes. |

You guys are thinking about this way too much. It's like that scene in Batman: The Movie with Adam West, when they figure out how the shark attack on Batman is the result of four super villains teaming up to take over the world.
Seriously, if you clowns having figured it out by now, every person in the band is a complete nerd. They wouldn't name a song which mentions wishing after a province in India. It's just a pop culture reference.
