I can't believe the lack of comments on this song. To me its about a guy who has split from his girlfriend and now he wants her back so badly. I love the way Danny sings Will you fight? because he sound like he's singing it straight from the heart. I've recently split with my girlfriend but I'm still fighting for her but I'm not sure if she'll fight to get back with me so the line "There's nothing in between You and me so let me go my way." I wishs she'd just let me know there is no chance at all so I can move on with my life instead of standing still waiting for something I'll never have. Love it 10/10!! |

| This is a great song! Pretty straight forward meaning bout breaking up but the guy still loves the girl and always will. I've messed up with a girl recently through being a complete nob and not wanting to grown up, so the lines "and I'm sorry for what happened, but I want you now to see, that I'm changing all my actions, I don't wanna set you free" mean so much to me and I will change all my actions just to get her back because as Ian sings "I think a part of you still loves me" I bloody well hope she still does! | |

The acoustic version of this song is amazing, def +44 best. The first few lines of this song are great as I used to know this really cute, intelligent girl who used to have loads of problems and thought drink would solve them, in a way I think I fell in love with her but even though I was always there for her she never knew it. I think everyone already has the meaning to this song nailed....love the line The past is only the future with the lights on genius! |

I've loved everything TCTC have ever written but this is surely their best. This song means so much to me at the minute as me and my gf are going through a rocky patch and I don't know if we'll ever be happy together again. Especially love the chorus But is this the time Is this the place? And "is the the end?" is all I can say I promise I never meant to turn you away Why did you trust me with you heart? It just seems like the person knows everything has come to the point of no return and its the end of their relationship. Deep down he knows that he was never good enough for her and that he'd always let her down. I'm rambling now but thats how I see it. |
