I think the meaning is fairly clear - much like John Mayer's Split Screen Sadness ("'All you need is love' is a lie/We had love but we still said goodbye"), it's about a relationship that fell apart. But this song is simply incredible. It took a few listens to grow on me, and now it's in my top three on the album. |

| This pretty much sums up my post-prom last year. Instead of heading out to party, we just each picked a couch in her living room and chatted, then fell asleep. It was bittersweet, to say the least. The silence was most certainly misleading, and both of our words fell short of what we wanted to mean. Funny thing is she's a Jack Johnson nut, and I've always wondered if I should ask her if this song means anything to her. | |
