A Perfect Circle – Annihilation Lyrics 18 years ago
No, I don't want to seem like a jerk off, but you're confusing a democracy with a DIRECT democracy once again. Democracy is the broad term of a government that is controlled by the people (whether it be by representatives or the actual population). This form of government branches off into two possible bodies of governement: A. Direct Democracies that involves the entire population gathers for a vote on every issue/bill presented. Note that this is only possible in very small nations, the U.S. is much to large attain this.
Or
B. A Republic in which the people elect people to represent them. This isn't a DIRECT democracy because representatives are the voices are the voters (or so we believe) so... I agree with you that politics is a monstrosity.

First off, if you really want to split hairs, it's a direct democracy that you're thinking of. The U.S. is a republic, which is a branch of democracy. While the definition of democracry is: "Rule derived from the consent of the people being governed". So, before you try and point out mistakes, realize that a republic is, though not directly, a democracy. The people vote for a representative, so the power that the representative has is only possible because of the voters. Mean-while, it's funny that you mention that you dislike politics, yet you know that there is a need for government for a state to prosper. I do not believe that many people will regret commenting on here just because they read the Constitution AND the Bill of Rights (even though the Bill of Rights is in the Constitution...). If they were the least bit intellectually active they'd feel more adamant on how the U.S. is on a sinking ship. With the federal reserve controlling the economy basically, it's quite infuriating to see people barking on this website about the different branches of democracy and what not.

Tool – Eulogy Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm awestruck by the amount of people who even considered this to be about Bill Hicks. It's understandable if you are not familiar with the band and their relationship to the comedic genius. But if you do realize that Bill Hicks was a huge influence and friend of the band, then I'm simply awestruck of your intrepretation of this song being about Hicks. The angry and agitated tone of Maynard in this song quite obviously shows the hatred of this certain person. So on one side you have a loyal friend of the band, who would go on to spiritually awaken Maynard, and on the other you have a song focused on the imperfections and corruption of a certain person (let in be martyrs, prophets, dictators, fellow grunge musicians, etc). Odd how Tool created a song that express their hatred toward one of the idles.

Guster – Satellite Lyrics 19 years ago
I love this song so much. I grew up with guster and never before have i connected with a song so much. I mean i think we all can relate that theres a dream girl out there that is as close as perfection that we can ever reach... yet she is always a little bit out of reach.

Hmmm, Are you really that stupid?? Tool is notorious for their sarcastic tones and hidden meanings. So what you think that just because a few lines describe what a comedian does you can just name it a song about Bill Hicks? Oh yeah I myself am not a grammar genius. But it would help for you to clean up your sentences a bit so that people can actually read them. Oh yeah Carrol, like Broken said earlier, Justin said it was about L. Ron Hubbard. Coach Slickback you may have "higher Moral Values" But moral values don't determine intelligent levels. Which I must assume by your ignorant fucken posts is near mental retardation levels. Oh yeah 46 & 2 is about evolution, good job. But thats just a vague segment of the true meaning... I'll give you a hint, we have 46 chromosomes in our body. Now read my whole response, you idiot. Seeing how as reading the whole response will eventually bring reason to your nearly illiterate head.

Wow, you sure come off as a intellectual person. Calling me stupid while you can't spell simple words like criticize and shun proper punctuation. Yes they said that they were were inspired by Bill Hicks, that doesn't mean that every song is about him. If you don't care to figure out the true meaning behind music and tell yourself that your right all the time, go ahead. Oh yeah they don't say the whole album is about Bill Hick at all on the cover you idiot. Perhaps the artwork made you think that way? I see how pictures easily persuade such a complex being such as yourself. Oh yeah and enlighten me what is 46 & 2 about? I'll be delighted to pick apart your intricately designed explanation. I've got to admit though you have creative endings. Let me quote you one last time, " I am not going to bother trying to convince ignorant judgemental idiots so go ahead and live in denial." Turns out your words came back and bit you in your nearly illiterate ass.

Hey, Dude! The entire album is not dedicated to Bill Hicks. What, did you guess that just because the audio clips on Third Eye? Oh yeah and it is titled Eulogy, good job you stated the obvious. But it doesn't imply that its about Bill Hicks. Jesus and "Lebron" Hubbard both died. So it could have easily been about them. Oh yeah and those two lines you took out of the song sure do define a comedian. But if you listen to the rest of the song it clearly points to a religious figure of some sort. Do you just skip past the parts of "To ascend you must die, you must be crucified." and "Get off your fucken cross" and the numerous uses of the word martyr? Oh yeah many people are anti-christian now a day... but this song clearly has to do with religion, so why is it so absurd to see so many anti-christian comments? Before you come out and comment claiming to know what this song is about, actually listen to and read the lyrics. Don't just single out two lines to support your opinion, Idiot. Hmm, now how to end it... how bout "Get Over It".

Trexor, I was about to argue with you. But I have no idea what your standpoint on America's government is. Democracy is shit, (Captain obvious strikes again) so lets do nothing about it? I mean you make your situation sound so helpless and quite frankly it's frustrating. You made it clear that people die and well so what? It's not like we control the reaper's scyth. True to a certain point. We can control the scyth so it isn't used on such blatant bullshit like the so called WMDs. Before you argue that I'm to young and conceited to realize how the U.S. works, think about this. If you really believed that it is hopeless to hope for a uncorrupt government, then why in the world are you trying to convince everyone here? Why don't you just listen to your music that you don't have to relate to and just keep a personal journal? That way you won't receive all these comments from people who value the ability to talk shit about the "Man"
