while i agree with the previous statement, i think the song does have some sort of heroin influences. he's "burning every bridge" like he's ruining his relationships with people and just getting high instead. kinda like the people around him were telling him to quit it and he just decide to fuck them and do it anyway, but now he sees what he did was wrong but there's no way back. he's burned all the briges. after being asked what his song was about Bob Dylan once said, "Well, what does it mean to you?" i sometime have to remember that when i'm thinking about what the artist was going through at the time. because really he published the song. he let it out into the public and now it's our turn to see what it means to US. just be selfish for just a minute and welcome the feelings this song gives to you. |
