Okay...this song...if you ask me...is against our philosophies that our world holds on so closely to in comparison to us as Believers. "Run, run farmer screaming bloody murder! MY DAUGHTERS ARE DEAD!!!” In our world, we as Christians should be, “OUR NATION IS DEAD!!! OUR GENERATION IS DEAD!!!” "Deception is charming." ~~Enough said on that subject. "No, I don't think so!" ~~To us as redeemed Christians, it’s not so. Deception is a foul odor to us. "These things will harmonize and overthrow. These things will cure, but they will tear down." ~~If we look at it from a Christian view: These philosophies will neutralize the whole argument by making people happy, but then it will take over the whole. Like those who wouldn't believe Creationism...they made a little room for Evolution, and now look at it! They will cure...they will answer our questions and our thirst for information, but they will destroy everything we hold on to. "We are not the ones who carry on. We are not the ones who wear the shroud. Tear down..." ~~Doesn't it seem like that? We can't really win...they're stuck in their beliefs...or so we think. But, we're not the deceivers, so with God, we can tear down the walls of the falseness. "Liar! Condescender! Words born as bastards!" ~~Satan is the liar and the condescender, or the demeaner of Christ, and, like TRUELYSAVED said, the words born as bastards are the words of Satan, as fatherless can be, nothing but lies and deceit. "Our swords will rest and a course in miracles all hail!” ~~We need to put down our weapons and become on the same level as them…we are no better. We’re all sinners…but we’re redeemed. Our lives, the living miracles they are, will shine His Light on them. “And killers will rise!!!” ~~Killers by the Sword, or the Word of God (Eph. 6:17), but not real killers. We need to be active in God’s Word and attacking the falseness. “Where have we gone wrong???” ~~What did we as a race do to deserve this mess? It’s called…the deception of Adam. “Understanding laced the web!” The web of the Spider, Satan, is covered in that stench of the need of information and understanding. That’s where evolution came from…because Darwin wanted to say that he knew how it happened. That's about it if you ask me. Seabird is using another story in their music as they did in "Not Alone". In this story, they talk about a girl who is misunderstood and unloved. The ones who mistreated her at first didn't like her and all and treated her horribly. In pain, she left where she lived to start it over again. They doubted her, but she became someone that they later loved. Christ was the reason that she made it. She says "I told you so" whenever she talks to those who doubted her. In response, they tell her that they now love her. Now, she's past them and out of their lives, and they're mad. It turns out that the one who did believe in her told her to "fly away", or keep going even though she was in pain. Because of this, now they hate him. It's practically a way of saying, "You never know what you have till it's gone". Seabird's gonna be huge! I call it! |

My friend Scott and I think that this song is about the "Christians"--the ones who are Christians just to get to Heaven. "WAKE UP! WAKE UP! MY GOD! THIS IS NOT A TEST! Talks about how some Christians think that the entire Bible doesn't apply to us. Tearing out the pages also may mean that we can just totally ignore what God says.
