this song is one of my favorites by joanna newsom i'm quite sure its about acknowledging your own control over someone and finding that a bit odd. when she says "you were knocking me down with the palm of your eye" she knows somebody wants her, and "i was riding its back when it used to ride me " i think means that she realizes she has sexual power over this person and that she wants to use it to her advantage. |
