WOW, I'm surprised noone commented on it today, the whole album came out today. Well I bought it as soon as I could and it kicks ass. Solid album overall, i don't necessarily like the Smiths influence on my MM (not that I don't like the Smiths but I think it shopuldn't be mixed withg MM)
I think this song is his response to people saying Float On was all sellout and that MM had sold out. with the line
"Oh, the dashboard melted, but we still have the radio."
meaning the old fanbase melted but they still have radio-play and all the people who will hear them maybe for the first time will like how catchy it is and buy their album. I think it's his apology for the sellout of Float On. Just a thought.
My opinion on the matter is that you should cut Brock some slack, he grew up in a trailer in a small town. He's so much better than all the rich sellouts. I'm looking at you Green Day, one of the most sellout bands ever. but I love GNFPWLBN it's a really good album and MM is always trying something new so every album wont be the same as the last. Anyone who insults MM has too low of intelligence to understand it, because Isaac Brock is true, one of the biggest reasons I wouldn't call MM sellouts is because Brock is expressing true thoughts and emotions he has about the world he's not just making stuff up so it'll sound good. On a last thought though, I do think that their songs are getting worse at every album but from their early stuff which is like 10000000000000000 stars the new album is about 9999999999888888 which is still way better than pretty much all other bands out there. the scale would be from 1-Fallout Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and The All-American Rejects to 10000000000000000 Modest Mouse.

Whenever I hear this song I think about someone getting revenge on people who did something he didnt like all but the girl. I dont know about the girl. but anyway maybe it was wishing you could just make them all go away and it would solve your problems but it keeps getting deeper so he kills the judge and the people who are all trying to prosecute him and its just a clever story. I like this song because i'm sure many people have been mad at unreasonable people in this very unreasonable world and felt that many problems would be solved if they were just gone. try to make sense of what i just said please. |

I love this song the video freaks me right the fuck out try watching at at 4 am when you're stone holy shit. I love this song it is really well written. I think its about how we're trapped and the end is near and we're too stupid to do anything about it. |
