| I actually believe there are two parts to this song...1 where he is speaking to the girl that just left him and 2 where that same girl is speaking back to him...and the new girl is just a pawn in their love tug-o-war...he tells her he has this girl that everyone would want but he doesnt because of the effect she previously had on him..you made me so complete dear but you left me so alone here...the chorus is her speaking to him saying beg me and tell me how to love you like anybody else would i know your risking failure go run for cover you better start to love her...hes taking a chance in being let down again so shes saying go use that pawn for cover from being hurt but u better start to love her so that it works....and u left me so alone here you left with so much hate dear was i creating only chaos this world lives just fine with out us wont you? thats him speaking to her the chaos meaning by getting this new pawn but why should it matter to her wont you live fine without us? at this point the girl almost wants him to beg her to make her feel importan to him again or just important period...even so much as saying will it change your life if i change my mind...now are we this pathetic you made me finally see it..he saying basically that are we so pathetic that we are caryying this whole thing out like this...and she goes on to say im so pathetic you made me finally see it got what you want? im gone...if you really take notice to the pronouns YOU and ME evans blue is using them in two distinct ways to not a conversationg between one person to another...you can pretty much figure out the rest when you understand that...thats my opinion hope it helps a little o and I saw evans blue last night in new orleans at the parish house of blues and they were unbelievable...came out for an encore also...go see them and by their records and keep supporting this music and these lyrics that has all of us thinking!! | |

I think its about his addiction and the fact that it was obviously shown to the world We chase misprinted lies, about all the shit he does wether he did or didnt actually do them We face the path of time meaning its all pretty much going to end anyways so fuck it Noone to cry to for help no place to call home always on the road dealing with the shit no place to stop and get his shit together My gift of self is raped, about the drug my privacy is raked the media taking their spin on his life And yet i find repeating in my head if i cant be on my own id feel better dead..the drug talking to him telling him to do it to keep the addiction isolating him from everyone and death would be better than quitting....if anyone has had an addiction they would understand that, i battled with one and the drugs pretty much tell you what to do hence addiction...and you would rather be dead than stop using...sad...layne you will be missed and loved always |

Although I think most of the things everyone is saying is close I believe it to be different to an extent. Hear me out? The piercing radiant moon just shows that its nighttime and shes asleep The storming of poor June is the mental anguish shes experiencing in her dreams Approaching guiding light its getting close to morning Our shallow or our young years growing up in fright or in fear to do anything wrong or to actually go astray of their control and "they" can be anyone to who controls you Your lives are open wide obviously you cant hide The V-chip gives them sight..thats just a figure of speech for our conciences telling us were doing wrong and they will somehow know it or someone will see since "THEY" are everywhere The spiders all in tune..if anyone has been outside at night with a flashlight ull see them everywhere i think they used spiders because of two reasons..one the fact that they are actually everywhere..to watch you and that they have best sight perception at night meaning the time you actually think you have to yourself or that noone can see you, your wrong Now I guess I could be wrong but that to me makes alot of sense...be glad to hear opinions |
