its about love isnt it?? when its all stripped down and pure and private, and it feels like there's just you two people in the whole wide world... the line "I'll love you in the morning" is so heart-wrenching, and i cant fully explain. Its NOT like "I'll only love you in the morning" it's like "I'll still love you in the morning"... and if a love lasts one night, it lasts a whole lifetime. |

omg!! the oc...ARRGH. its a GREAT show, but just not worthy of this song....
it's the song that chronologues all of my relationships really. "I still feel you and the taste of cigarettes" reminds me of the person Im with now, and how that a certain smell or taste takes me back with them... also "just tell me its tearing you apart, just tell me you cannot sleep" Is beautiful.. wanting to be confided in, wanting that person to open up and trust you, but not really getting much. being so, so, so in love you'd do anything. |

its about having regrets. because everyone who says they dont is a liar. everyone regrets. and its about being trapped in a sort of blank modern existence.. with wantin to escape to simpilar times and a simpliar existence. "if i could do it again, i'd climb more trees, I'd pick and eat more wild blackberries" is one of the best lyrics on the album. its about wanting to escape, and regretting. its about modern britian, basically. |

this is the best Libertines song. the best line has to be "your like a journalist the way you can cut and paste and twist; your awful" its got to be about love... and the raw tradgedy of some love. love so hopeless and futile, and heartbreaking... and bitter resentment, and hate, but still love. which is what makes it so perfect, the fact he resigned himself to love her, and knows she loves someone else, and the fact he has failed. and how, at the end he doesnt really care what she does anymore, because he knows its hopeless. wonderful |
