The newer 'version' of the SOA (changed in 2001) is the WHISC - Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation. SOA was believed (and probably did) trained multiple people to become, well, terrorists in their own countries.They enlist nearly 1000 people per year. They are taught a very short amount of humans rights at the beginning of their courses. Then the remainder of their courses are pretty much 'Practical application of military and police operations" Their manual taught repressive techniques and promoted the violation of human rights throughout Latin America. Although it may be rather obscure, in it's actuality, it means that when you only search for one thing, it is all you will find. So, if you only see it from a religious aspect, or lack of religion aspect, that is all you will see, and you shall not see it to other ideas. Also, it is not wise to put down the gods of others by calling them "dumb". You may not believe in them, and that is perfectly acceptable, yet to push the word "dumb" on their beliefs is blatantly rude. But yeah, I think this is about trying to become yourself, who you truly are, an individual entity in this conforming world of ours. |

This is definately about not knowing, but I think it goes deeper than just songs. I think it could be talking about our current media. About how everything gets lost in the politics behind it all and the truths get so far skewed into lies, we're no longer sure of what is a truth, and what is a lie. Awesome song, Rise Against has been my Fav. band for a while now. |
