I actually relate to it on the same wavelength as you. My friend who I used to be so close too, and it wasnt until I realised that she treated her friends badly, I had to actually stand up to her. But every now and again unfortunately she appears to cause problems for me and some of my friends.

i think this song is far most the best one theyve done! Its so damn catchy and it quite a clever play on words! I think its about being consumed in glitz and glamour of hollywood hence 'I'm in too deep' and he wants another piece of that highlife 'But I want one more taste'

this song to me can mean a lot of things, it can refer to past and the present. past yes it could involve the south korean war and the DMZ which were set up, and when people were gettin shot down etc and present as it could refer to terrorism/protestism/drunken mishaps on streets/blockades. Basically in general its people standing in for what they believe in, to aid the cause of one side, whether itll b political related or war related the outcome is the same, the fact tht nothing will ever change an tht combat between countries, people will always be the same throughout life. There will b conflict wherever you will go an it will b around all the tym no matter how hard democratic leaders and ministers of the world try, the world isn’t ever goin to be perfect and conflict is inevitable |

I think its about a girl whom really likes a guy, but shes afraid to tell him how she truly feels but the only way she can explain or have any choice of saying is in diaries and all of this staying behind closed doors, i think shes come out of another relationship, an likes some1 but she is too scared to face up to things an is unable to tell him. 'broken hearts and torn up letter gril u jus cant dance forever' refers to tym an tht its running out an u gotta seize the moment otheriwse ull never b happy and will have noone to spend the rest of their life with, an the fact she has noone she feels so lonely 'empty pockets'. this song feels more personal than any other on this album, and reminds me of a married couple, whereby they have a child, an the song is written in the perspective of this child (poss ian watkins). At the start the family gets on well like any shud but things start to deteriorate and they break up. the child become lonely an unstable an is unsure how to cope with things, 'lip gloss lies' remind me of an affair which could mean howd they split up and the child doesnt want things to carry on with how things were, an want him an his mum to carry on lving their lives. also the child is lost and confused and needed sum kind of stability 'gimme sum1 to believe in' an he needed helped |

i think this song is more of a political one, and personally i think its more about hiding the truth from the people of the world. I think its generally about the government and about making sure that people see only what the government want the public to see, 'hide the truth from my eyes i will never know' in my opinion means tht people will never know anything true about wot is herd on the news, tht small facts and secrets are kept 'under wraps' and the fact tht people realise this, they feel like they know nothing, which scares them. shadows could refer to people hu actually no the truth but have to live separate lives to others as they would be outclassed by millions watching the news, and if such truth was ever told it wud change the world we live in. it can also refer to war i some cases as well |
