thehappysong, i heard the same thing! :) When i listened to this song, i saw a girl in the fields, near a duck pond, and there were butterflies that she tried to grasp and they fluttered around her. Then, she lies in the tall grass, with the soil underneath her, and her boy comes and lies next to her and together they look up at the stars, which eah start to come out in the sky. ...i saw at the end of the song the girl being taken away by the sky.. or.. both the girl and the boy fading with the light. Overall, an AMAZING song to listen to, just lying still. At some times i felt so incredulous because Sigur Ros are extraordinary!! I've only just discovered them, but you can interpret their songs in any way that YOU make the stories, YOU make what happens... you SEE beautiful things come from the melody and even the words which are so subtle, yet so powerful. *BRAVO!* :D |

I LOVE THIS SONG! It's really meaningful to me. I think it's great. I think this song means that John's trying to love her... but she keeps slipping away because she can't love him. She's just grown out of her skin and all he wants to do is love her. And their relationship is beginning to end. I'm not sure lol. Not too good with all this. |
