ok now im not saying at all its meant to be this but im just saying i think it would fit well as i wont see you tonight pt 3. The first one was in the perspective of the guy commiting suicide explaining all of the things he felt that made him do it and in a tone that worked perfectly sounding full of sorrow and depression. He wanted to die and he wouldnt be happy until he did. The second one was in the perspective of all the loved ones he selfishly left behind to mourn for him. Losing a loved one because of suicide is not an easy thing to deal with. They still love him and they would feel completely crushed and betrayed by losing them in that way. I never had someone taken from me that i love but that song can just amazingly make me feel the mixture of hatred and still feelings of love for that person. Now with afterlife, i can see this being in the perspective of the one commiting suicide again. This time hes in that peacefull beautiful afterlife that he's always dreamed of going to. But seeing all of the pain from the loved ones in pt 2 starts to make him rethink. He suddenly begins to feel out of place in the afterlife and that he took his life way too early after all so now he would do anything he can to get another chance and go back to it all. I think this is the sad part of it because typically someone who does die and go to whereever it is that we go to after , they wont get another chance to live no matter how much they want to. So he's singing like he's still hoping that he will get another chance but deep down he feels its somewhat hopeless. But in this case, their ex band member did get another chance to live and the overdose never killed him |

I look at this song as a relationship that was once great but then turned to shit. One person loved the other very strongly and felt that they would always last "Once I thought this life was never ending" But as time passes they see the person for just being cold and heartless in the inside and they were nothing more then good looking "Your just a motherfucking sight to see" Once they finally realize they've gone wrong by choosing that person and eventually lose them, they try to be the strong one who is able to move on no matter how much it hurts that they lost them "I will sew the hole you left inside me Leaving you in the past I will release" |
