| Escape the Fate – Cellar Door Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Does no one else think that this song sounds like it's from the point of view of a creepy stalker-murderer? | |
| Kate Nash – Skeleton Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's about her anorexic friend. Pretty straightforward from there as i see it. | |
| Fall Out Boy – I've Got All This Ringing in My Ears and None on My Fingers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I take that back, she's not worldy, she is 'all-american' | |
| Karnivool – Themata Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
accoriding to wikipedia "themata" is the plural of "thema" which isan intuitive feeling of knowing about the world, how it began, etc etc, which cant really be explained, but you know intuitively that it is true... Does that help? |
|
| Karnivool – Mauseum Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Love this song! not exactly sure what its about though... | |
| The Getaway Plan – streetlight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
whee the getaway is my favourite band atm! Just as a sidnote, he actually screams 'breakdown!' not 'punchline' :) |
|
| Fall Out Boy – I've Got All This Ringing in My Ears and None on My Fingers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
New York eyes, Chicago thighs What does this mean? she sounds...worldly (does this make sense? probably not) Pushed up the window to kiss you, off I always thought of this as a kind of forbidden love type thing, where "kissing you off" is a kind of a goodbye kiss, and he is actually pushing the window open so he can flee home or whatever... hmm. yes. |
|
| Yellowcard – Firewater Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| mezzaca3, i think they say "swallow" as opposed "drink" just to keep the rhythm and assonance n stuff | |
| Fall Out Boy – XO Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
And instead of telling people to buy From Under The Cork Tree, you can just say, 'GET FUCT!' LOL! hahaha, this made me laugh (hence the 'lol', and hahahas) |
|
| Fall Out Boy – XO Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think its about having a one-night stand with a friend..."choose love or sympathy, but never both" ..."hey tear catcher thats all that you are and ever were" i always thought "teach catcher" meant someone who "Calls you when you're down" but to me it just seems like in a non-relationship kind of way, if that makes any sense... |

| Operator Please – Get What You Want Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Because my linger It sounds like "lingo" instead of 'linger' to me |
|
| Operator Please – Just A Song About Ping Pong Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| wow, what an insightful deduction :P thats just slightly random...but oh so catchy! :P :D | |
| Fall Out Boy – Thriller Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
there are a couple of things i dont get in this song: Last summer we took threes across the board threes across the board? Every dot com's refreshing for a journal update i just dont think this makes sense...i mean, i get that pete has an online journally/blog thingy but...?? So long live the car-crash heart Cry on the couch all the poets come to life Fix me in 45 i always thought it was "fix me and fortify" and... And it's me and my plus one at the afterlife I am just thick for not understanding any of that? Could someone please explain? |
|
| Fall Out Boy – Thnks fr th Mmrs Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i *heart* this song, one of myfavs on the album...i love the videoclip too, but doesnt anyone else think that the monkeys are just a tiny bit random? but i do liek the "i shouldve gotten p!atd!!" line LOL! | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Build God, Then We'll Talk Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|

| Fall Out Boy – I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me and You) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The best way to make it through with hearts and wrists intact Is to realize Two outta three ain’t bad, ain’t bad Someone said something about how this is saying how he cuts his wrists. In fact its saying the opposite - two out of three intact, ie his wrists not slit, but he has a broken heart... |

| Fall Out Boy – 7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Sogoodinblue i'd just like to point out that Ativan is sleep/anxiety medication, so I though the line "I'm sleeping my way out of this one" is another reference to his O'Ding | |
| Fall Out Boy – 7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| its about pete trying to commit suicide...not about him being lovesick im pretty sure | |
| Fall Out Boy – Hum Hallelujah Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think "I sing the blues, and I've swallowed them too" is a play on words, saying that Pete swallowed the Ativan (even though Ativan isn't really blue). Exactly...swallows his "blues" by swallowing Ativan...isnt ativan anxiety medication? |
|
| Fall Out Boy – Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"They say quitters never win We walk(ed?) the plank on a sinking ship" I dont think this completely makes sense, but have you been told that if you know youre gonna stuff up, make sure its the best stuff-up youve ever done? I have, its what my band teachers like to say. But the point is, thats what it sounds like to me - quitters never win, but dont quit cos we're gonna lose anyway...no idea how that fits in with the song, but that what it remins me of... |

| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| oooh violetsarered, i like that explaination better! but i think the wikipedia explaination, sorta matches the song better...0_o now im kinda confused....oh well | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
hottertouch, someones already posted that but i'll explain it again: basically the woman picks up a stray fish, and thats supposed to represents her cheating on her significant other right? then she finds her partner has commited suicide cos he found out that she was cheating on him. And then she realises that cheating really wasnt the way to go, and she would have rather been with her him (the derad guy) than with anyone else...so she kills herself....and yeah...its on wikipedia actually, it explains it much better than i just did |

| Fall Out Boy – Dance, Dance Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| the machine: wow, thats so intelligent, the way youre looking up a song that you dont like. Wow, thats such good use of your time! I mean, it's not as if you have a life or anything...this site is for discussing song lyrics, not for dissing people, and if you dont like a band/song, you can say that, but you know, try not to be so rude about it - it doesnt go down very well... | |
| Fall Out Boy – Dance, Dance Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| btw, i never realised the whisper before the chorus existed, but i just listened to the song again and i can only hear the "we're going into..." but not the rest...ha what a useless comment | |
| Fall Out Boy – Dance, Dance Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"i'm two quarters and a heart down" I just thin it means hes feeling really really down cos hes just been dumped, enough for one and a half hearts, they just put in "two quarters" to sound cool and for rhythm "so you need them just to get by" What does this mean?? |
|
| Mya, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim, Missy – Lady Marmalade Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
And now for the onslaught of the thirteen-year-olds who proclaim, "THAT WAS REALLY MEAN!" Cometh. (Not you, Marmalade) LAWL! No that's your opinion, i disagree with it, but its your opinion all the same. (and theres nothing wrong with being 13!) |
|
| Mya, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim, Missy – Lady Marmalade Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It is : Would you like to sleep with me tonight? Would you like to sleep with me? I beg to differ ( but only slightly) - the french dont say WOULD you like to this, or WOULD you like to do that...and soir is evening so the literal translation of "Voulez vous coucher avec moi, ce soir" is: "You would like to go to bed with me, this evening?" |

| Panic! at the Disco – The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| superdes_318, Chuck Palahnuik is the guy who wrote a book called Survivor - this song has a couple of quotes from that book, including the title of the song | |
| Panic! at the Disco – The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| OK, having never heard of that particualr author, I am totally lost on the "trophy boys, trophy wives" part. Could someone explain this properly please? Anywayz, I'm off to the library to find this survivor book... | |
| Panic! at the Disco – The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Swear to shake it up, and you swear to listen I thought the first time it says 'if' and the second time he says 'and' |

| Panic! at the Disco – Intermission Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|

|

| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| no no no!!! In this instance, 'harlequin' refers to a romantic novel published by Harlequin Enterprises...so the phrase 'testosterone boys and harlequin girls' is kindof, 'horny boys, romantic girls'.....get that? | |
