Maybe this is an aborted child speaking. Her/His mother was raped, by whoever, and it resulted in a pregnancy. At first I thought that the child was born and saying that she was Hannah's regret. But when you think about the part that says "creatures lie here looking through the windows" you kind of think of an unborn child when it's about to be aborted...then it says "Turn the sheets down. Murder ears with pillow lace. There's bath tubs. Full of glow flies. Bathe in Kerosene." I think it's describing the whole abortion, then "Their words tattooed in his veins" it's like the DNA that's in the child. Just a thought. |

I don't think this song is about god at all...then the whole first part would not make any sense. I think it's about a relationship where the guy totally changed her...maybe because things he did or the way he treated her. Then she became someone totally different and maybe did things back because of the way he treated her...that's why she's saying she's not innocent, and that the way she is, is what he created. :) |
