this song is pretty obvious. its about popular music and how a lot of popular music today is crap and people glorify it cause it the "cool" thing to listen to. and how they wont follow the trend cause they want to stay true to themselves with their music. |

okay... so he is on morphine, it clearly states this in the book that the cd goes along with. also julio venegas was a friend of the band. and if im not mistaken he doesn't die from the overdose, he jumps from a bridge on to the interstate in rush hour traffic after he wakes up from the coma. |

he plays it with both bands, so it isn't really considered to be a jm or soco song. the song is a lot longer than what is written here, andrew said he isn't sure when he is going to release it, or with which band. it was written for his sister katie who saved his life. |

actually andrew has read the tao te ching, so i doubt its about the movie. i think the song is talking about the actual definition of a straw dog though; something that is made only to be destroyed, or something that is set up to be knocked down. |
