The lyrics skipped the spoken part at the beginning:
You look beautiful today where are you going?
Oh Really? Don't come back. Stay out! (bitch)
Dear Esther, farewell, to you, bitch.
(I was only kidding) Come back! I didn't mean it! (I was only kidding)
(dear esther) I said I was only kidding, wait a minute (only kidding) hey, Hey come back! I didn't mean it!
So mebbe she was already dressed up and on her way to see this other guy and Chuck thinks she's leaving because of what he said?
You gotta love Chuck's vocals in this song tho. No matter how bad you sing, you're never farther off key than Chuck, so sing right along at the top of your lungs! |

I was under the impression that Billy wrote this song about his alcoholism pushing his wife and daughter away. I could be wrong tho. Leave it to FNM to write a kick-ass country song tho! |

I remember an interview where Patton was said he was tired of singing Warpigs so anytime someone asked for "the cover song" they would play this song which was a Nestle commercial back in the day sort as a joke on whoever requested "the cover song." Rather Kaufmanesque. |

I always figured Jim REALLY wanted to be in a thrash metal band and already had this song written when Patton joined the band and just made up some silly death metal lyrics to amuse himself.
Vampire Chicken sounds tasty. |

Its all about that clingy chick that just won't realize its over and keeps calling in the middle of the night wanting to know what she can do to make it work and he sarcastically suggests she can get on her knees (probably to perform the oral services) |

Am I the only one that thinks he sounds like Elvis in the chorus?
I always pictured a fat bald guy in a stained wife beater with hairy shoulders on a beat up couch in a small trailer swatting at flies infront of a small tv w/foil on the antennas... |

| Faith No More – Naked In Front Of The Computer Lyrics
| 19 years ago

Mebbe his new pc wasn't working and he was on the fone w/the 800 number and the tech support clown was basically giving him no help. Saying "nothing" in millions of ways and words.
He bought the thing, and taught the thing, and fought the thing but they told him it was acting normal but he felt they were keeping him dumb. Obviously they weren't listening because they were missing something and he still felt dumb.
In the end they were still empty since they had no advice to give, so he's boxing it up and sending it back.
Why's he naked? Well (a) he's Mike Patton, and (b) they're keeping him hot, weren't you listening?
This all leads to him feeling Helpless in the next track. |

| Faith No More – I Wont Forget You Lyrics

The Mountain of Needles and the Lake of Blood are from a japanese story The Spider's Thread by Akutagawa Ryūnosuke. About a thief that's been drowning in the lake of blood at the bottom of hell which is only lit by the mountain of needles for so long that he "could only twitch like a dying frog." He is remembered (I won't forget you) by Lord Shakyamuni who attempts to save him from hell but fails.
ofcourse, it could also be about absolutely nothing. |

| Faith No More – Falling To Pieces Lyrics

I'd heard back in the day that it was about a heroin addiction. Before you go yelling at me "Mike didn't do drugs!" remember he wasn't the only one in the band. I had heard that Billy wrote this song, but since Roddy has admitted to a heroin addiction it may have been him.
Either way, the lyrics "from the bottom it looks like a steep incline, from the top another downhill slope of mine" could easily describe an addict. |

I was 14 when this song came out and immediately thought it was about losing virginity. Mebbe I was just overly occupied with losing my own at that age. I had a friend who swears when asked what the song meant Mike Patton simply answered "Its it." Thats it, its about nothing.
In live version he sings "you lie down on it and you f* it some more" and when I saw them live in '90 in Houston a Madonna impersonator jumped on stage and danced around during this song. Mike completely ignored her until that line when he pointed at her and sang "you lie down on it and you f* HER some more." Thus reinforcing my opinion that its about "doing the deed."
Mebbe the first half of the song is about virginity and the last 1:40 is only about "it" and nothing else? |
