I take this song as a love song. "Something real, Make it timeless. An act of God and nothing less will be accepted. So if you're calling me out, Then count me out." A real, timeless relationship. He doesn't want someone that just wants to be with him because of who he is or because of his looks or what have you. and that doesn't necessarily imply just because he's famous. I mean there are people in everyday life that like someone just because of the way they look or other shallow means. He wants a substantial relationship. One that's unexpected, that's an "act of god." Not something where someone's just calling him out. That's my take on it. |

| I was thinking this song was about a girl having high ambitions for her future and he feels like he's bringing her down. She wants the perfect person and a perfect life, and he's not part of it. He says "I didn't mean to fall in love" because he knows that he's not that perfect guy that she believes that she'll find. That's just me though. | |
