This song... It just is about I think a guy spotting a girl in the club. I think she's the most beautiful girl in the club. The first verse (where he is being confident and saying "she's coming home with me tonight") I think she is kinda flirting with him a bit, dancing, and no one else is getting that. He's hopeful, happy, and completely mezamorized by her. Then, when the song goes to just the best boxing (right before the interlude) she leaves. And he just stays there, seeing only her, only the lights hitting her, realizing he can't have her, but he is completely in love with her and Love stoned (can't stop thinking about her, only breathes her, needs her). But even though its bitter sweet, he's happy cause he has the memory of her, he had her, so he walks around without a care. Yup. There is my over analyses. |

Okay... i think that this girl is comparing her love to the love of Samson and Delilah. I think that the girl had a beautiful relationship with the man. They were deeply in love and then something happened. I think she messed up in some way. Samson said he didnt care, just said she'd done alright and he still loved her, he kissed her till the morning light, told her he loved her, and she knew that she would love him forever, and he was the man she ever loved. And she never forgot him. When their love ended, everyone forgot it because no one really knew what they had. People knew when they were together, but when they stopped, no one cared, everyone forgot. But to the girl, this love was everything, and it was misunderstood. Forever, she will love her Samson. For me, this song is about a man who is deeply in love with his girlfriend or a girl who he has a relationship with. It's not that he did anything to hurt her, its not that he left her, I think it just that he has never had a relationship that has meant this much. And this relationship is everything to him, it is his life, this girl, his girl is his life. I think he hurts when he can't be with her/when she's gone ("this pain i'm going through"), every moment to him is amazing/something new/the most meaningful to him because he loves her so much ("still feels like our first night together"), and that no matter what, he is trying to tell her he will always be there and he will only ever want her. He wants everything to be perfect for her. But because this type of relationship is new to him, he worries that maybe he will overwhelm her but no matter what, he cant stop loving her and he just wants her to know that, that he will always love her, he remembers every moment they've ever shared (and will never forget them), he wants them to always be together and he is just trying to tell her that "I'm sorry, I cant change the way I feel, it will never change, please, forgive me for loving you as much as I do"... ...Yeah... I know all may thoughts on this song are muddled and mixed and heard to read... I love this song... My fiance played it for me when we were at the coast one weekend and he sang it for me... It just has more meaning then almost any other song. I love it. |
