um i don't think it's about a nun. i think that this girl is inexperienced and innocent and she has a deep faith in god but deffinately not a nun. he's having doubts about going all the way with her because he respects her and doesn't want to take her virginity when she's drunk because he doesn't want her to regret going against her beliefs when she wasn't in her right mind. but this drunk girl keeps telling him it's alright. and he obviously cares about her which is why it says "said 'shut the door when you go' perhaps he should've reconsidered" he's thinking that he's screwed things up by saying no and that she thinks he doesnt care about her, when really the reason he said no was because he did care and didn't want to take advantage of her...... but that's just my oppinion. |

see i don't think it's saying that she's given up. i see it as she's tired of chasing him ("i could stand up and sing you a song but i don't wanna have to go that far") but if he comes to her she's still there ("just know i'm right here hoping you'll come in with the rain") |
