I watched the movie the other night and got really excited because I just knew this song was based off of it. BUT:
"Contrary to popular belief, "Bad Education" is not based off the 2004 film, Bad Education about a transvestite. On her MySpace page, Kianna Alarid has stated that, although they knew the movie existed, Derek Presnall wrote the song without having seen the film or knowing what it was about. When they later saw the DVD cover, the band was amazed by the coincidental similarities. They refer to the song as being about a person with a split personality, specifically a boy who dresses up in women's clothes." |

I hate how much I can relate to this song. She has a crush on him and he likes her back, but he's in a position where he can't do anything about it. It's completely unfair to her, but she just wants to be with him, even if it means that their relationship stays platonic. |

I agree; Kevin doesn't sing very soulfully here.
It's hard to imagine Sunday being the best day of the week, but the song wouldn't sound the same if the lyrics were "Wednesday." |
