U2 – One Tree Hill Lyrics 19 years ago
The reason it's called 'One Tree Hill' is because when U2 came to New Zealand Greg Carroll took Bono to One Tree Hill (which has now been chopped down) "Run like a river to the sea" is used because the ancient northern Maori tribes believed that if someone died, then their soul would fly through the hills and rivers to the sea. then they'd look back, and then fly to heaven or afterlife. "I'll see you again when the stars fall from the sky
And the moon has turned red over One Tree Hill" means that someone had died (Greg) and that they'll see him again on judgement day.

U2 – City of Blinding Lights Lyrics 19 years ago
I live in New Zealand and U2 was finally coming. It was going to be on St Pat's day, which would have been awesome because of the Irishness but it was postponed. When it was on i was kind of disapointed because my family and I were way at the back, but I convinced my older sister to come with me and sneak into a restricted area. We got through and ran and got away and pushed and pushed through people. Then we got chosen to got to a restricted area and we got right up by th band. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Then they played City of Blinding Lights and the whole crowd went wild! It was so incredible. Bono is such a brilliant porformer, one of the best. That was my first real concert and I will never forget it. ROCK ON U2!!!!!!!!!!

Jack Johnson – Bubble Toes Lyrics 19 years ago
This east and west coast stuff is so stupid I'm from New Zealand and I love Jack! Every place has the same kind of people the cool kids the people who follow the cool kids and the ones who really don't care what the cool kids do... and I agree with whoever said about teeny-boppers who pretend to like songs because they've become 'cool'. No one can own music so why are we fighting about it??

U2 – Running To Stand Still Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is definitley about heroin use, and I agree with eirenightshade when they said that it was also about this woman's environment, but I believe the lines "Then I floated out of here" means that the drugs have sunk in and he's become the person the heroin makes him.
I think this song's about a woman trying to escape from her life: the place, the people, the habits ie; heroin use, but she fails.
This song is about a woman and someone else, a partner say, because the lyrics are in the third person and the third person. So I think it's about pressure, this woman tries to escape but hasn't got any support and goes back to the life she hates but relies on.
Sorry this comment is so long... I love U2!!!!!! This is an amazing song.
