| Puddle of Mudd – Spin You Around Lyrics | 17 years ago |
If you watch the music vid. for this, the meanings pretty clear. A young boy and girl like each other as mischievous skater kids. They are torn apart (by a protective father in the video) but see each other later in life and instantly come back to what they were. Its about loving someone, being torn apart, and coming back together later in life |

| Gavin Rossdale – This is Happiness Lyrics | 17 years ago |
one of my favs. on wanderlust. the guitar riff is almost a direct ripoff of institute's 'information age'. take a listen. sounds like a love song, but i see it differently. after gavin wrote this album, he presented the demos to the original members of bush. they turned it down saying it wasnt very bush-esque. i think gavin may of written this song after that. he's saying wether it be with bush, institute, or just by himself, happiness is making music. "this is happiness dig yourself right back out never thought it would come to this " he just never thought it would come down to him doing it solo. "never thought we'd get so far down" he never thought he would get so distanced from bush that his sound wasnt bush enough anymore. "that was my favorite new york you are the sea so i dive in you yeah " shot in the dark, but maybe New York symbolizes fame. his favorite fame came from bush. so he wanted to dive back into bush. "last time i felt this good she was the fire i was the wood i love your mouth i love all your breath" last time he felt this good, he was in bush. the following lines all confirm this as they are all plays on previous bush lyrics. (Land of the Living, Mouth, Machinehead) "you make me so much better i hope i don't make you worse i'll meet you somewhere in there if you get there first where have you been where have you been where have you been " simply put. a message to bush. "outta my mind again outta my face again outta my head again outta this world again outta the place i'm in outta the state i'm in outta the car i'm in outta the skin i'm in outta my mind again" another bush play on things. "Out of this world" |

| Candlebox – No Sense Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i just saw candlebox last night.. and right before this song kevin asked "DOES ANYONE HERE LIKE TO SMOKE THE WEEDDD???" (Crowd Cheers) "THIS SONG IS FOR ALL YOU 420 MOTHER FUCKERS" and he added in lines about getting high and stealing weed and stuff. so i think its safe to presume this songs about.. weed |

| Mindless Self Indulgence – 1989 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
my 2cents: i always thought this song was aimed towards the little 13 year old fans who have only heard 'bitches, shutmeup, faggot, and straight to video' he just uses 1989 as a general year of these kinds of people being born. not to say there arnt real supporters born after then. "Goodbye 1989 I wanna be the one in control Rock my white shoes polo tie The next big thing for 5 years running" Like everyone else said, just stating themselves. "It's not your turn It's not your turn....yet" these little kids jump on the bandwagon and act like MSI is their band. when their actually really late. its not thier turn. msi isnt for their generation. "Back off you little shit Gnawing at my fists I see they breed you by the boatload Back off you little whores Get em all onboard And let me beat you to the fucking punch bowl" telling these people to get off his dick. he doesnt want nor need them as fans. and to all the little 'omfg i fkn |

| Bush – History Lyrics | 19 years ago |
about unwanted pregnancy: "Gave my love to two thousand yesterdays" he got all caught up in the love thing and it felt like he's loved this girl for 'two thousand yestersdays' "Nothing is wrong, I am always a little late" missed period. sign of pregnancy. trying to avoid the truth by telling heerself shes always a little late. "Probably will probably won't, get this disease cut out my throat" the nervousness sets in, thinking, it probaly will just pass over, then what if it doesn't.. just make it go away.. "All of a sudden you come my way, baby believer" she turns out pregnant, and shes a 'baby believer' or a non-abortion believer. "I won't be saved by morning after Struggling my name, slave turned to master" he wont be saved by the morning after pill, he's going to be a father..was a 'slave' as a kid, but now that he's going to have a kid hes 'master' "History moans, mouth of our father" the same thing happened to his father, and his father preached and preached to be smart and not let this happen to him. but it did.. HISTORY repeats itself.. he keeps remembering the his fatheers words: "mouth of my father" "Edge of my bed, benzedrine telephone Struggling to speak, I'm sicker than sickest dog Falling faster than liar's grin, we need to be saved from the shit we're in I believe in you I have found, the perfect way to bring me down" he's really nervouse.. benzedrine is a name brand anti-depressant/a.d.d. med.. helps him stay calm. he wants out any way possible. he doesn't want this. SORRY ABOUT THE GRAMMAR, ETC.. ITS 1AM AND I CANT THINK STRAIGHT.. BUT THATS MY 2 CENTS |

| Bush – The Disease of the Dancing Cats Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i agree with saxifrage.. but i think this song also has somthing to do with an abusive relationship..driven by alcohol obviously: "It's bleeding there's no proof That's no way to treat a good friend Your whiskey talks louder Than most things I've read you said" |
