This is another great example of Tool's skills within song writing. Unlike many songs, Schism can be "your song", in the sence that there is no clear meaning of the song, so it's more or less totally open to your own interpretation. While it has some religious undertones, it can also be about the breakdown in a relationship or friendship, depending on how you look at it. It's a great song because most people can in some way relate to what he sings. Tool have said themselves that they are not hiding anything in their lyrics. I think the Harvester Of Sorrow is a pusher (a drug dealer).
