I thought it said "Lust" rather than lost... I should really check the booklet.
Shaun said in an interview that this was about Amy, I think its a very good responce to CMWYS, not too aggressive but not mopey either. |

The albums dedicated to Eugene, but that doesnt mean every song is about him, as far as I know, only "Rise above this" is about him. All songs on the album were written before his death anyway, so its not about his suicide.
I think there could be lots of interpretations of this song.
I'm guessing by "she" Shauns's referring to Heroine though... |

Well, I think about his Shaun’s father. A big clue being "Never run away, son" He ran away, he disobeyed his father, and rebelled, he played in a lot of bands against his fathers will. Now his band is well known, and he travels the world, but faces it all alone. His father thinks he has got it made, but in reality he feels empty in side and is struggling with life, like he doesn’t belong, and he’s facing it all alone, “feeling miles away”. This song could also be describing a possible addiction because of the line "I’m never gonna give you in". |

I agree with "grungeisdead34" Shaun said himself that at the time he wrote this, they were going through harsh times, being called someone else’s band and not getting credited for there work. (Basically “broken” being called Amy’s song and people saying the band was"using" Amy and Evanescence to get publicity... that sort of stuff. And people accusing them of selling out) Very depressing, but I love it, one of my favourite songs. |

I agree with all the above, I also think this song has some references to politicians, due to the talk of hypocrits and never being set free. does anyone else think that? |

This is clearly an angry song, by "self made millionairs" I think he is referring to amy lee, or big producers, who are to up themselves to listen to the ideas or advice of others. Shaun feels the world is out to get him, against him. In verse 3 he sing about drugs/alcohol/other such substances. I can relate to this song |
