| The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
When I first heard this song, I thought it was about a relationship...or rather, the ending of a relationship. Now I'm finding it very diffult to see it for what it really means. It completely reminds me of the last relationship I ended, which had been fairly long term...and this song made me feel better. Then I started thinking...does it really matter how we see these songs or how we interpret them, if it helps us in some way? I think that would be what the artist would want in the end, no matter how we get there. Of course, it's always better to be aware of why they wrote the songs, and what they meant by them. but if we relate to them in a different way, the song has served it's purpose. |

Wow...I had no idea this was written about Sarah Jessica Parker....I didn't know they were ever together! Thanks for the enlightening information... As for weather or not it works out for them, check out Georgia Rain....I love that they do end up together in the end, even if they didn't make it to Mexico... |

That's exactly what it means to me too...It's so sad, yet hopeful. I love the feeling it evokes. Great video too, they have such a unique and refreshing style. And SilentEcho...I could totally see that...I wish I could be there right now. I'm totally gonig to picture that the next time I listen to the song. Sounds beautiful! |

Actually...I saw Ben Lee in concert a couple of months ago and he talked about the meaning of this song. He said he was making out with a girl, and then he found out she had a boyfriend...and he thought it was funny, but he actually got more into it. I found I liked this song more after I found out the true meaning behind it. Now it's one of my favorites on the album....although every time I hear a different song I say no, this one's my favorite. One of the true signs of a brilliant album...I love it! |

I absolutely love this song. It makes me quiver everytime I hear it, and it really gives me hope that love can truly be this way. Sometimes it's so hard to imagine people feeling that way about eachother....wanting to give yourself completely and share things you might never have shared before. To me, it's more something you'd see in a movie but never in real life. Well...here's hoping... :) |
