Weezer – Feels Like Summer Lyrics 19 days ago
@[huddy:55031] I've always thought it to be about the death of a love from his past. She'd since gone on and been married (in June) - yet the flowers in her hair here are funeral flowers. Though they didn't stay together as a couple, he still cared for her

Maroon 5 – Sweetest Goodbye Lyrics 15 years ago
I agree with you about 99% yet there are a few things I've interpreted differently.

I agree that this song is about someone he loves and there is a barrier. I've actually just come to this same barrier in my relationship. She has an ex whom she thought she was over, but turns out she wasn't. There were no hard feelings between the two of us, I let her go because I knew that she wasn't ready and it's better to be honest with yourself than to deny it.

Therefore "How does it feel to know you'll never have to be alone when you get home?" relates to the fact that, although this may be a breakup, she won't be alone, she has someone else's arms to fall into whereas he is truly alone. Her saying goodbye and flying away is going to be with the other.

Pushing forward and arching back, I can also relate to. We pushed forward and trudged on, even knowing that the feelings were unsteady, arching back is her saying "wait, but I'm just not over him." I actually thought this was a sexual song until my situation occurred, it just makes more sense. The heart attack is him just not knowing what to do and ultimately panicking.

As for "there must be someplace...." It's desperation. Let me take you somewhere that we can remove the outside disturbances and just be ourselves, whether it be sex or a discussion that ends with a cuddle.

I feel that this song in NO WAY relates to "goodbye sex." It may be a resultant, but that's not what it's about.

Weezer – The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn) Lyrics 17 years ago
Honestly..I think that Rivers wrote this song and is now sitting back laughing. All the rave of "oh my god, did he write this about himself???" I seriously bet he's having a good laugh.

This song is amazing...but it almost sounds like a finale; I'm afraid this will be the last track on the cd...If so, then this almost seems to be a farewell song.

I sure hope I'm wrong

Dishwalla – Angels or Devils Lyrics 19 years ago
Everyone has brought up good points. But about 2 years ago my uncle was killed in a motorcycle accident and this song was played at his funeral.

If you notice, he asks if we're going to learn to fly--go to heaven.

also, the Angels burn inside FOR us, and the Devils burn inside OF us.

He also worries about the things that could make us cold.

I believe this song could be about the loss of a loved one and the realization that his last breath could be literally at any moment
