Snow Patrol – Signal Fire Lyrics 18 years ago
You're wrong! You're all bloody wrong! I am a MASSIVE Snow Patrol fan, and agree would like to say a few things on this.
1. NEVER, EVER, call them "The Patrol"
2. This song is supposed to be for a MOVIE. It is about love etc. (the song), and any band asked to write a song like this for a movie, whether it be Snow Patrol or the Beatles, if they were all alive, would have come up with something similar. I agree, it's NOT one of their BEST songs, but it has a BRILLIANT mobie soundtrack quality to it, and for that reason I simply love it. It does NOT sound like a cross between "Headlights" and "The Finish Line", in fact NOTHING like any of Snow Patrol's other songs. It is totally unique to this kind of genre, and for that it should be respected.
3. The lyrics ARE "No I won't wait forever" not anything else.
4. The true meaning of the song? Well, obviously love, and all that, but to me it means more. As Celebrindal said, it also reminds me of myself and my best friend, who lives all the way in the USA (I live in the Netherlands), and when we parted.
5. Snow Patrol have launched a competition for a music video to this. Anyone think they can beat Spiderman, have a look at their website.
Thank you for reading all that. I feel better now I've got my point across...

Snow Patrol – Make This Go On Forever Lyrics 19 years ago
I love this song - especially the build up, the restraint on it is fanstasic.. and then the letting go and going into soft music. This is like a relationship, yeah? The arguments, the build up, the tension, and then the break up and the letting go, the tears flwoing softly...

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars Lyrics 19 years ago
Geez... um does this song make anyone feel suicidal? This is a totally mental speculation, I know, but it makes me think of suicide -
"If I lay here, if I just lay here
Would you lie with me, and just forget the world.
Forget what we're told, before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life."
I feel this is showing the last dieing moments and then going up out of this world bursting into a new place, a new paradise...
What are "those three words" anyone know?
