i think Matt's trying to convey his thoughts of anguish towards the kinda capitalist centred society we live in today:- "nothing to believe in that was built by human hands or controlled by demand" "let's burn the factory" there maybe a little bit of resentment towards the awkwardness he may have felt with a girl as a result of this type of atmosphere and fake or almost plastic environment we live in as well.And how it will never replace the thrill of being with someone? "Am i crazy cos i want to touch your skin" "all their paper never feels like my lovers kiss or the warmth of her touch while we dream" Like he just wants a world of loving and happiness something basic like that but it's polluted by all the shit through the media and consumerism to make it seem like an unrealistic goal. |
