Isaac slade said before he married his fiance he realized how you can be so sad about something that makes you so happy inside. Planning the wedding and realizing this was it, made him feel mixed emotions about things. He said, its so funny how you realize that happiness and sadness is all really the same thing. "Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same." Basically, just questioning his judgment, when really....he knew there wasn't one. Okay I agree share what the song means please. And smart one who said isaac slade is a recovering drug addict obviously isn't smart. Isaac said he thought of him and the band as "sheletered little church kids" Isaac wrote this song of and experience he and dave welsh had mentoring a recoveing crack addicted teen at a cabin in the mtns. He said here is a kid comp. Opposite of myself, I'm a sheltered subarian 23 yr old and here's a 17 yr old who had choices and got into trouble every time. And when ppl would try 2 help they came off too strong and it seemed bad. A thing called..tough love. Isaac said people eventually just lefted him and gave up bc he seemed to not be 2 worried. But the story gets better...he was in rehab Isaac said the name of the song was from a sign at a pool that said HOW TO SAVE A LIFE and he realized you can't do that in reality, bring someone back, when they're already gone. Now I would like to say, the fray are simply amazing. |
