This song's title REFERENCES the Ozymandias poem by Shelley, but the song is about being fucked over by the popular music stereotype ("Kill all my sorrows in three minutes and thirty seconds" being a case in point.) Well, I like the reference to the band Gatsby's American Dream in this, because you can tell they are heavily influenced by GAD...anyway, the only way I can listen to christian bands is if I refuse to believe any of the songs are about god, so I see this song as about just someone realizing the mistakes they've made. |

I think this song is about how some people only live to sit around and hate responsibility (Everyone knows these people: People who want to be high all day every day and don't want anything to do with work or any form of responsibility) and how some people only live to work (Workaholics) and that there's a fine balance between the two.
I do agree that they had the best job ever.

This song is actually the father of Long-Arm and Butchie Bleam, who killed his wife when she stole from his Meth stash. He was found and convicted of the murder, but the authorities got to him(Gunner Recall, as he calls himself. He's insane) before the Bleam Brothers, who would have sent him through The Blood Machine. He runs away, and this is him on the run. It's pretty much saying that he's schizophrenic and that it isn't his fault he killed her ("They don't hear the serpent that burns your ear, or the coward that sits alone in your head with IT(Yes, it is "It".
