in my opinion, going with the rest of the album, they are doubting god. The whole "god is dead" element almost egging god on saying "if a fountain did fall the sky, there'd be 1000 witnesses" so come on prove your existence, and show us your a god of miracles. "pour concrete on the roots just to make sure you never move" keeping you stuck in the original sin, possibly the fall of man, and make sure you never return to god. |

"purchase your tickets, im kicking your crosses down" i think this goes perfectly with a scripture in the BOM "yea there shall come in a day when churches will be built up that shall say,"come unto me, and for your money you shall be forgiven of your sins" purchase your ticket and you'll be forgiven. which is awful, obviously. so anthony is demoting religion for the right reason |

this is kinda of an elementry deciphering but i think its religious. \the whole twilight army is obviously some heavenly beings. also 'he who recollects forgive us' god is our guide, he recollects are faults and triumphs and he is blaintently asking god to forgive us. "On the way down, we understand what it means to break down" he might be stating we finally understand what we're breaking for, but not until were on our way down to darkness..
