I think the first part with the guns in the hands of himself and the young is about everyone being able to just go out there and get "emotionally" involved with someone or just fuck whoever they like, without really caring about the other person or about what they themselves are doing. Then he says something about not wanting this to be like this. I don't get the joystick thing either, though.. Then I think that "this is just a party" is about people going to parties and making out with others. The next part might be about following the way everyone else feels on this subject and "becoming the whore" and descibing it as a vivious cycle. Then he mentions "corpse play" which is of course sex without any real feelings attached to it. Then he draws in the image of marrige and says "we don't have to take this seriously". I think it means that people think the way that "let's have fun while we're young, and then get serious about this love-thing when we grow old". Then he finishes with "2005 welcome to perfection / you have won" leaving a feeling of powerlessness and giving up on it.. I think he uses a lot of straight-edge views in this song, like having sex with someone you don't love and such... |
