Mudvayne – Death Blooms Lyrics 19 years ago
themosquitogod: "This song is about life. Life is death blooming, from the moment you are born you begin to die. Everybody knows what lies ahead of them but the only time they could actually enjoy life is when they are young, and the only time they can appreciate life is when they are too old to live."

That says it. But anyway I don't think the person in the song who says the words is old at all. He just knows that he lives in a human body - "a structure that's collapsing".

Mudvayne – Happy? Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song - as almost all Mudvayne songs - is about a person's stuggle. Inner struggle and struggle against other people, society. Both.

In Flames – Bottled Lyrics 19 years ago
I think "Bottled" means trapped. Like trapped in one's own life.

"To stare into what's next
It frightens me
No control, no reward
I'm in circles again"

These words suggest that. Bottled refers to alcohol as well, as he is in a state that he fails to change. He just "channels the pain" into alcohol. And thinking about "Tonight I drink myself sober": have you felt that when you drink a bit you feel you can see your whole life-situation a lot clearer? I think he implies to that feeling.

Anyway Adrenalinne can be close as well..

In Flames – Trigger Lyrics 19 years ago
Well I don't think that the song's about a relationship. The music could tell it's about something really different. It's just about human life.

The song starts with defining general problems: we don't have a guide but our own senses and we seem to be lost in life. We need to turn around. "Have we lost the spark or a guide? What's the latest on the screen? Can't be too late to turn around"

And in the second verse: "Please tell me my name, I haven't checked it today" - a way to refer to identity crisises.
Our days pass bye without meaning, but we're still human souls and thus want reason, answers to our questions. Questions like these:

"Why I'm running from something I don't know?
Why I'm searching for something which way to go?
Why I'm trying to separate what's real?
I'm running in a wheel."
(Our efforts seem to be worthless.)

"Are we dancing all alone?"

...and all the other questions go to somebody out there who might hear us and give us a sign. ("Waiting for a sign to tell us why") These unanswered questions are asked by a man from god or life.

At the end of the chorus, the lyrics say what the true sign shows us to do: collecting "stars" (small joys) from our lives. It's not a true answer to the questions but that's what time teaches us at least.

Writing down what these lyrics really imply makes less sense but I think it is really something about that. Especially when you imagine how Anders sing it. .)
