This song couldn't be more blunt on what it's about. Powerful delivery by Chris Daughtry. One of my favorite tracks. |

This song is about finding the strength to admit that even though she left him out of the blue, he was still able to move on with his life and get over her. |

| Daughtry – There and Back Again Lyrics

Maybe my head is in the gutter, but it sounds like this song is about taking the next step with someone who was a friend and transitioning into something more. I'm not sure if it's a one night stand kind of deal or not. It's ambiguous. |

| Daughtry – Used To Lyrics

It's never fun to admit how stale a relationship can get through time. You start missing how new and exciting things were at the beginning, and wonder when things became routine and less passion filled with the passing of time. This song is about being nostalgic about the good times, and hoping that somehow it can go "back to how it use to be." |

| Daughtry – What About Now Lyrics

It's about trying to keep love alive before it exhausts itself. It's about being at the brink of losing someone you've had for so long and at the last possible moment reaching out to try and make it work. Very touching song. |

| Daughtry – What I Want Lyrics

This song is really bittersweet. It's like he's created an entirely new persona for himself because he needs this woman in his life. He's lost a bit of himself to keep her. |

| Daughtry – Crashed Lyrics

Simply put, even though you can live your life at such a fast pace, that doesn't necessarily mean that love won't find you when you least expect it. Love "crashed into" his life without much warning, and the power of it engulfed him. Whereas everything before him was so routine and rushed, this new love of his is ambiguous and you never know what's just around the corner. It's got him so consumed that he can't walk away. |

| Daughtry – Breakdown Lyrics

It sounds like he's battling himself between what's right and what's percieved as wrong. He may not necessarily be singing about himself, but by the sounds of it maybe it's about a man who's done everything right so far with the exception of one dilemna he finds himself in. I'd like to think the narration is of a married man debating whether or not sacraficing everything he's built with his marriage is worth taking a risk and finding love in someone he's grown close to. He's trying his best not to breakdown because although there are pros and cons to each situation, he can't picture himself without either people in his life. |

| Daughtry – All These Lives Lyrics

This song is about child abduction. The first stanza involves a mother's worst nightmare: starting off a day like any other only to find out that their child is missing. This song is to serve as a warning that although the abducter gets away with it for now, eventually they'll get caught hense the "walls may know you're breathing." Maybe guilt will devour them in the long run? |
