to me this song depicts the catastrophes that could occur if the public remains ignorant and/or apathetic to the governments war-mongoring and suppression of foreign peoples. occupation of other countries does not bring democracy, and it also does not make western society any safer from acts of terrorism. it infact, does the complete opposite. terrorists attacks in cities such as madrid and london since the start of the U.S occupation in iraq prove that it is not making any thing safer at home or abroad, it is infact making things more unstable the second paragraph depicts the suppression of leftist-ideas such as peace, liberty and equality in the mainstream media |
